Everyone always laughs at me, but I love Fresno.

Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH)

It may not be on the top of your list as cities to visit, but when a necessary fuel stop arises or a mid state layover is required, Fresno can be a yes, when it comes to GA creature comforts.

The city has some of the best thrift shops ever and this is some little airport... Chandler Airport opened in November 1929 and served as Fresno’s primary airport for civil and commercial aviation until 1948... Check out how they preserved it! The bathroom is awesome too, but I’ll spare you. Here are some details and useful links.

Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH)

(FCH) is a public use airport 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of the central business district of Fresno, in Fresno County, California, United States. It is owned by the City of Fresno.

Chandler is a designated as a reliever airport for the larger Fresno Yosemite International Airport, located 6.5 miles (10.5 km) northeast which is served by commercial airlines. (Wiki)

"Land of the chupacabra / Homeland of Bobby Salazar / Birthplace of Alvin And The Chipmunks / Reluctant hotbed of crankheads stealing cars / Sometimes it just doesn't get any better, folks / Other times it couldn’t get any worse / Living your life in Fresno can be both a blessing and a terrible thing." ~ "Fresno," Brian Kenny Fresno

From the Beastie Boys to Kenny Chesney, Fresno has been referenced in songs more than most people realize.
